Pictures of Houses

A series of photographs made between 1997 – 2000, whilst a postgraduate student in Norwich, Rotterdam and subsequently in Edinburgh during a Scottish Arts Council fellowship. The photographs were made partly in response to wandering through the physical and literary urban landscape of J.G Ballard, Iain Sinclair and Paul Shepheard, but also as an imaginary and somewhat digressive footnote to Lewis Grassic Gibbon's 1934 novel Grey Granite... The works House No.1 and House No.2 1998, and Fred Wigg Tower and John Walsh Tower 1998 were exhibited in Kettle's Yard Cambridge, and EAST International Norwich in 1999.
